I am so glad you have found your way here. My passion is to work with people at powerful times of change or turning points in their life, or to help you create the change you want: in health, life or wellbeing.
Change: it is often said to be the only constant in life.
But often we don’t consciously choose change right? Painful, shocking things happen to us as humans that we just didn’t see coming. Many of us have trauma right at the surface – it’s raw and known and has a name, but it is possible to ‘bury’ trauma from the past too.
People are most often drawn to work with me at one of four ‘change opportunities’:
1) When they are striving to ‘let something go’. Having every intention of moving on, yet finding that it is still there, hurting, playing on our mind, interfering with our joy in life. Guilt and shame can be like unwelcome hitchhikers on our other pain, and healing is just as needed for the kind of trauma where we, possibly without ever meaning to, have hurt someone else.
2) Trying to ‘call in’ change because we simply have this feeling of wanting more. Maybe you feel stuck in a repeating pattern, or like life is ‘ok’, but you just don’t have a feeling of real purpose and joy. Maybe you would love to share your feelings with someone, but you just don’t want to be labelled with anything as depressing as ‘depression’, or be told your exhaustion is ‘all in your head’. Maybe you’ve even tried talking. And talking, and talking. And it just didn’t shift anything. Times like these, you would welcome change, but maybe feel a little afraid of it too, and just don’t know how to get things moving.
3) When there is a sensation that you are right at the edge of a ‘quantum leap’. At especially powerful moments, we embrace the courageous and exhilarating idea that we are entirely responsible for our own reality. We feel ready to live the life we really want. There can be a feeling that whatever it is that is unconsciously holding us back, it would actually be inspiring to discover and release it, because it’s all part of the amazing adventure of our own soul. Of course, you may already be in love with your life and just want to dive deeper or fly higher than you already are!
4) When there is discomfort, pain, strange symptoms or other body dis-ease. When you have a desire for change such as weight loss or more energy. I love finding out the connections between your mind and body ‘stuff’ and reminding your body it can heal itself.
So where do you find yourself right now? Are you ready to get things moving, from wherever you are? Whatever the answer is, there is one thing that is the same about all of us: we can all move forward from where we are, and sometimes you need a ‘neutral someone’ to help with that.
My role in your healing is guided by where you are now and the shift you want in your life, your body, or both:
What does always happen for every client is a very relaxing deep healing session, where I clear and balance your body and energy field. It is a wonderful opportunity to go within, and people sometimes even go to sleep. It is a clothed session, most often while laying on a massage table.
I always work with the innate wisdom of your own body, in a process where I tune in and ask what is needed for your balance right now, and what insights can help you understand yourself and your process better. It’s a little bit like we are finding out what ‘old programs’ you have running in your ‘systems’, and deleting or updating what isn’t working well for you anymore. Much of this is unconscious. Most of our belief systems are just stuff we took on board from other people, often when we were too young to even question it, or remember it. We can also strengthen positive thought patterns that are just starting to blossom.
The energy balancing also works on the physical level, getting communication between different parts working well so that your body can heal itself.
How much talking we do around what comes up depends on how much you want to say. You don’t have to tell me anything, but it does help. Everything you do choose to tell me, from the time we first make contact, is absolutely confidential. Your story belongs to you and is yours to share. If there is trauma, simple techniques help to release it quickly, without a long drawn out painful reliving of anything.
A session is $80. Allow an hour and a half, and time afterward to gently return to your daily activities without rushing if possible. I regularly travel between Nelson and Wellington to see clients.
